The hospital was the first in the southwestern United States to perform a robotic total knee replacement using the MAKO surgical arm.

The Xenex LightStrike pulsed xenon UV robot is proven to quickly destroy the germs and bacteria that cause SSIs. It reduces infection rates by killing the microscopic pathogens that may be missed during the manual cleaning process.

Our low infection rates also result from the advanced disinfection techniques used in the hospital’s sterile processing unit. Here surgical equipment is cleaned, disinfected and prepared for surgery in a sterile environment.
