Prior to Surgery (Pre-registration)
Once your surgery is scheduled, our team will contact you to obtain important information for the registration process. An insurance specialist will call you to confirm your demographic and insurance information. They will also advise you of any estimated deductible, copay or co-insurance payments due to the hospital for your procedure.
A pre-operative nurse will also call prior to your surgery to collect information about your health for the admission process. The nurse will discuss your medical history, home medications, and discharge plans, and give you generalized instructions.
You may also choose to use our online registration. Simply go to our online registration. Here you can answer questions about your medical history from home. One of our pre-operative nurses will call you for clarification if necessary.
Pre-operative Testing
The CORE Institute Specialty Hospital offers pre-admission testing for your convenience. Your physician can schedule this for you.
Pre-operative testing is available by appointment Monday through Friday, and takes approximately 90 minutes. You will be interviewed by nurses who will take your health history, vital signs, and EKG. You can have your laboratory work done on site, as well as a chest X-ray. If your physician is requesting a clearance from a physician, we can provide you with that as well.
Day of Surgery (Registration)
Please make sure to bring your photo ID, insurance card(s), and payment for any required deductibles or copays. This information will be provided to you during your pre-registration call.
