Phoenix’s Trusted Robotic Hip Surgery Specialists
Degenerative bone disease affects millions of Americans every year, but surprisingly many patients feel the discomfort and loss of function is simply a fact of growing old. With today’s advanced medical technology, you don’t have to suffer insidious pain and discomfort or miss out on the physical activities you love. While conservative treatments like anti-inflammatories and lifestyle changes can help alleviate some of your discomfort, the problem won’t resolve itself unless you seek help from a qualified orthopedic physician. At The CORE Institute Specialty Hospital, we specialize in surgical orthopedic solutions that can eliminate the symptoms that hamper your life. Our state-of-the-art Mako Robotic-Arm Assisted technology allows us to digitally map and pinpoint the diseased or damaged areas of your hip and replace it with an effective implant that will relieve your discomfort and restore your mobility.
Are you ready for a hip replacement?
Hip replacement is a major medical procedure and should be carefully considered. If your hip is painful enough to keep you awake at night, limit your ability to climb stairs, get up from a seated position, and enjoy other day to day activities, then hip replacement may be right for you. The professionals at The CORE Institute Specialty Hospital will consult with you and determine if this procedure is best suited to your needs. Our state-of-the-art robotic-assisted technology and digital 3D mapping system allow for accurate removal of diseased joint bone and cartilage, while replacing it with a durable hip implant. This technology has been in use for over 10 years across the country and is completely safe in the hands of our capable surgical team. We’re happy to answer all of your questions to ensure you can make an informed decision.
Our Mako total hip replacement solution
After an initial consultation and exam to determine if hip replacement is right for you, we’ll perform a CT scan of your hip joint. This scan is uploaded into our proprietary Mako system where a 3D digital model is rendered. This model is used to create a personalized surgery plan that is unique to your anatomy. On the day of the operation, your surgeon will follow this surgical plan utilizing Mako Robotic-Arm Assisted technology. The surgeon will prepare the specified area of your hip by removing diseased bone and cartilage with extreme precision and preparing the area for your new hip implant. Our Mako system allows for extremely accurate placement of implants and our surgeons have an eye for detail. Once your new hip implant is attached, we’ll finish the procedure, and ensure your body is stable and is accepting this device. After surgery your medical team will perform a post-operative X-ray and your physical therapists will work with you to bring your mobility back as quickly as possible.
